Not much to say, really, except that the Eagles may be the most dominating rebounding team in the country right now. Aaron Nelson and Keith DeWitt together are practically unstoppable — 27 points and 25 rebounds between them in USI’s 83-55 win over Maryville at the PAC on Saturday afternoon. Breaking it down further, Nelson had seven offensive boards and DeWitt four.
By the way, USI coach Rodney Watson keeps referring to DeWitt as standing 6-foot-10 even though the roster lists him at 6-9. So I had to asked him if it’s really true that DeWitt is an inch taller than the listing.
“He really is,” said Watson. “He might even be 6-11.”
