Pierce sets Castle school record

Castle High School senior Quentin Pierce set a new school record with a time of 4:16.1 on Friday at the “Miracle Mile” at Franklin Central. He placed fourth among 60 runners. David Goodman held the old mark of 4:18.1 in 1995.
Pierce, who signed with Indiana State University, placed 10th in the 1,600 meters at the 2014 state track meet in Bloomington. He was a school-record best 11th at the state cross country meet last fall.
