Former Bosse High School boys’ basketball standout JaQuan Lyle tweeted late Friday night that he is decommitting to the University of Louisville.
Lyle, a 6-foot-5 combo guard ranked No. 16 in the Class of 2014 by Scout.com, averaged 27 points, 13.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists in leading Bosse to a 19-6 record and a berth in the Class 3A regional last spring.
In July, he announced that he was leaving Bosse and would play his senior season at Huntington (W.Va.) Prep, regarded as a national powerhouse.
Lyle is the second guard recruit Louisville has lost in the last few days. Quentin Snider, a point guard from Louisville Ballard who is ranked No. 31 in the Class of 2014 by Scout.com, decommitted to the defending national champion Cardinals and made an oral commitment to the University of Illinois.
