Bad weather wipes out Friday’s games involving SIAC teams

Inclement weather again took center stage on Friday as all boys’ basketball games involving Southern Indiana Athletic Conference schools were postponed.
The Bosse (7-10 overall, 1-3 SIAC) at Mater Dei game has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday. Wildcats senior guard Josh Price said he and his teammates are trying not to let the long layoff this week affect them.
“Coach (Kurt Wildeman) said you can’t let distractions get in the way,” Price said.
Sooner or later through the course of a season, you’re probably going to hit a rough patch of weather, Wildeman said.
“We all go through it in a typical year,” he said.
The Vincennes Lincoln (15-6) at Memorial (11-6) contest will not be made up.
Outside the SIAC, the Southridge (13-4, 6-1 PAC) at South Spencer (12-8, 4-2) game has been moved to 7 p.m. CST next Thursday. The Forest Park (11-8, 4-2) at Pike Central (11-9, 3-3) game has been rescheduled for noon CST Saturday.
The Mater Dei at Mount Vernon (7-13) game, which has been postponed three times this week, has been scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Castle’s home game against Jeffersonville has been moved up an hour to 6 p.m. Bosse had added a game Saturday at Daviess County (Kentucky), but it has been canceled. The Terre Haute North at Harrison (10-9) game Saturday has been postponed.
The Central at Memorial game, originally scheduled for Tuesday, has been moved to next Monday. The Harrison at Bosse and Castle at Tecumseh games have been rescheduled for Wednesday.
The Barr-Reeve (18-2, 7-0 Blue Chip) at Vincennes Rivet (10-10, 3-3) and Loogootee (8-11, 1-4) at Northeast Dubois (7-12, 3-3) games have been changed to next Wednesday.
The Medora (6-15) at Washington Catholic (7-10) contest has been rescheduled for next Thursday while the Tell City (4-15, 1-5 PAC) at Heritage Hills (11-8, 4-3) game has been moved to Feb. 28.
