DUIs are a common occurrence that the Evansville community is aware of. Last fall, five people were killed in a couple months in car accidents in the Tri-State. According to law enforcement, drunk driving was the cause of four of the five deaths.

In 2016, there were 536 people who were charged with some form of drunk driving in Vanderburgh County.
